The Phoenix Suns were the best team in the NBA during the regular season. They had the best record in the league in both conferences. Monty Williams was leading his side really well. They were the side everyone expected in the NBA finals. However, the Dallas Mavericks put a stop to that. Luka Doncic carried the Mavs to the victory, eliminating the Suns.

We saw the unstoppable side of Luka Doncic in the series. We also saw the absolute brilliance of Devin Booker and Chris Paul. But sadly for Monty Williams and his side, we also saw the ineffectiveness of the star duo. CP3 had a game with 14/14 shooting, but then dipped in the other games. Similarly, Booker had gotten into his groove but failed to carry the momentum. The series also gave us the involvement of world-famous rapper Lil Wayne.

This series also gave us a rare moment of Monty Williams losing his cool over one of his players that was ‘confirmed’ by Lil Wayne, who was courtside. Williams said that the reason DeAndre Ayton played just 17 minutes in game 7 was that “It’s internal”. Skip said, “From what our man Lil Wayne told me, he was sitting across [from the Suns bench], Monty got so upset with Ayton that he said, ‘You freaking quit on us.'”

“Mark Cuban For The Culture More Than Jack Harlow”: NBA Fans Backs Billionaire Owner Of Luka Doncic’s Team For Dissing Rap Star Lil Wayne With Clever Diss

This was not the only involvement Lil Wayne had during and after the Suns’ exit from the conference semifinals.

Things got ugly between Lil Wayne and Mark Cuban

Lil Wayne is a long-time Phoenix Suns fan. And if it was not clear before, it was clear during the series that he ‘dislikes’ Luka Doncic. He tweeted a pretty clear message to prove that. Whereas Mark Cuban, the owner of the Mavericks, hit Lil Wayne back with his own lyrics after it was Luka’s inspired performance in Mavs’ massive 123-90 victory.

Lil Wayne clapped back, and that’s when it got ugly. However, he deleted the tweet, but it was unlikely that it wouldn’t get viral.

A minute after deleting THE tweet, Wayne followed up the message with another that was also apparently directed at the Mavericks owner.

The damage had been done and the NBA fans went after Wayne for the rather abusive tweet.
