If you ask a group of basketball fans who their favorite NBA player is, most would probably answer either Michael Jordan or LeBron James. However, there might also be fans who would argue that it is neither. A clash of opinions is common in the GOAT discussion but that is all part of the beating drum of being a sports fan. An athlete who you consider the best player might not hold the same appeal to another fan. However, such revelations could also result in endless backlash especially when you are an NBA star.

A certain Detroit Pistons star had become the fans’ favorite after leading his team to an unsuspecting win recently. However, a report on his personal GOAT opinion made him the primary target of criticism not long after his splendid performance against the Golden State Warriors.

Pistons star considers Kobe Bryant as greatest of all time

Just when Detroit Pistons fans were celebrating the team’s iconic win against the Golden State Warriors, Saddiq Bey made a surprising revelation that left the Twitterati in fumes. According to The Athletic‘s James L. Edwards III, the 23-year-old NBA star believes that Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant is the ultimate GOAT. For those who were not aware, Bey even has a tattoo of the Black Mamba logo in honor of his idol.

Edwards wrote, “Bey is a Kobe Bryant stan. Most 20-and-30-somethings who grew up watching the prime years of the late, great Lakers star are. However, Bey takes it to another level. He’s got the Mamba logo tattooed on his upper arm. If you ask him privately, he’ll tell you that he believes Kobe is the greatest player of all time.”
