It seems like the Halloween fever has already caught up to Grant Williams. The Boston Celtics faced the Washington Wizards on October 30, 2022, at the TD Garden. This was the Celtics’ sixth game of the regular season and Jayson Tatum and co. grabbed their fourth victory on Sunday night. However, Williams managed to become the highlight of the evening when he arrived to the game wearing a Batman costume.

Grant Williams had earlier given himself the nickname ‘Batman’ after the Boston Celtics vs Denver Nuggets game on March 20, 2022. Williams decided to adopt the nickname after his splendid defensive performance against Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic, who is known as the ‘Joker’. Williams actually asked teammate Jaylen Brown to spread the word through the media.

“Grant did a great job. He wanted me to tell the media he wants his nickname to be Batman. I said, ‘I don?t know about that one Grant.'” said Brown.

As if wearing the costume one time wasn’t enough. Williams arrived at the post-game interview in the same outfit and even gave his best Batman voice impression. However, fellow Celtics star Jayson Tatum’s reaction upon seeing Grant Williams in costume was what cracked up the fans.

The Boston Celtics gave an impressive performance on the court on Sunday night. Jayson Tatum’s side beat the Washington Wizards by 112-94. The Wizards highest scorer Kristaps Porzingis?managed to score 17 points, 13 rebounds, and 1 assist. Rui Hachimura averaged 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists.

On the other hand, Jaylen Brown led the team to victory by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists. Whereas, fellow teammates, Jayson Tatum and Malcolm Brogdon each added 23 points.

While fans celebrated the Celtics’ victory, Grant Williams’ ‘Batman’ costume served as the icing on the cake for the NBA world. Moreover, Jayson Tatum’s priceless response only made the situation all the more hysterical for the fans.
