LeBron James had an exceptional season, unlike his team, the Lakers. Despite his best individual efforts, the Lakers failed to qualify for the play-in tournament. LeBron has been on the sidelines with his ankle injury for the last few matches and would finish the season with an amazing 30.3 points per game. He achieved two major records whereas the Nuggets star Nikola Jokic made history.

Nikola Jokic is in his 7th season in the NBA. The Serbian player has once again found his way into the MVP discussion. He is currently in a three horse race for the coveted prize awarded to the best player of the season in all aspects. He won the MVP last season and now eyes to win it for the second consecutive season.

Unlike the Lakers, the Nuggets have qualified for the playoffs and Nikola Jokic will have more chances to show his exceptional caliber. As far as LeBron is concerned, his season is finished. The Lakers will finish the season as 11th seed whereas the Nuggets have a chance to challenge for the title. Keeping aside the differences in impact of the two players on their teams, both LeBron James and Nikola Jokic created history this season.

This season LeBron became the first player to record 10,000 points, rebounds and assists. On Thursday, Jokic became the first player ever to amass 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, and 500 assists in a single season. There was a big difference in the celebration from the two players and fans were quick to discuss.

LeBron also broke the scoring record of Karl Malone this season to become the player with 2nd most points in the history of the NBA. He is just around 1300 points away from becoming the highest scorer player in NBA history. After reaching the second spot and reaching the monstrous feat of 10,000 in all three stats concludes another brilliant season for James.
