LeBron James is now considered a master of his craft. Whether one hates him or loves him, his impact on an NBA court cannot be denied. James has had an 18-year career in the NBA, and all of it isn’t based on his freakish athletic ability.
LeBron averaged a career-high 10.2 assists last year and was the assists leader for the NBA. He has become an elite passer based on how he reads the floor. Everyone has noticed it, as LeBron has started transitioning into a primary playmaker. Draymond Green broke down the layers behind LeBron’s passing with a clip from his performance against Rajon Rondo in his last game.

Draymond himself is considered to be one of the most intelligent players on an NBA court. He is a former Defensive Player of the Year, despite being a very under-sized forward/center. It is because of how he reads the game and impacts the decisions on the floor. Rondo is regarded similarly, especially after his performance in the 2020 Playoffs.

LeBron James: Outsmarting everyone on the court?
LeBron James cannot be the same player he was 5 years ago. Despite his best effort, his body is showing the strains of his career. He can’t jump and have his elbows next to the rim anymore. However, that hasn’t made him any less of a threat on the court.

What LeBron loses in athleticism, he adds in IQ. He is easily the smartest player on the court whenever he is playing, and most of that has been developed by playing in the NBA for 18 years,

Draymond may have been a rival of James’ throughout their 4 NBA Finals against each other, but even he cannot help but admire the great move when he sees one. LeBron can read the game so well because of his experience. Considering he is still a top-three NBA player today, his skill-set has just been bolstered with age.
