LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers struggled to close out the game against the Sacramento Kings recently, resulting in a 5-point defeat for the Lakers. LeBron shined with his 32 points, but the performance of the rest of the team wasn’t enough to bag a win. This has arguably been the story of the season for the Lakers so far. While James continues to impress fans with an average of 29.8 points per game, the Lakers are certainly struggling.

With that said, the situation for LeBron’s eldest son Bronny James is similar at the high school level. Like his father, Bronny continues to leave basketball fans in awe of his performances, even if his high school team ends up on the losing side.

On the 16th of January, Bronny’s high school team, Sierra Canyon, lost 46-47 against the Miami Columbus in the HoopHall Classic game. Despite this loss, Bronny put up decent numbers and plays that left his dad and the NBA world impressed. He bagged 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals while putting up a good all-around performance. The four-time NBA champion later expressed his excitement on Twitter.

‘King James’ replied to a video of Bronny that was captioned, “Bronny’s stock continues to rise”. LeBron wrote that Bronny was “simply a great all-round player”. While calling his son a pro, he also declared him to be “the greatest kid ever”. 

NBA star and James’ former teammate Kyle Kuzma came across the video and commented on it too. He wrote, “I like it” while tagging LeBron on the tweet. The four-time Finals MVP was quick to respond. He stated that Bronny was special and together they were working on his craft.

After Impressing Father LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, Bronny Catches Shaquille O’Neal’s Eye

However, this wasn’t the first time LeBron has openly commented on his son’s brilliance. Earlier in the month, Bronny’s windmill and other dunks during a game left James claiming that his son was “really on 1”. With that said, earlier in the day, as LeBron boasted about his son and voiced about being a proud father, NBA fans rushed to share their reactions in the comments.

NBA fans on James’ reaction to Bronny’s game

Some fans found James’ reaction wholesome and touching. However, many focused on the sentence of Bronny being the ‘greatest kid’ and predicted that his other son, Bryce, may not appreciate that statement. Some fans called LeBron out for being biased against his children. Most focused on him being an “exemplary father” and commented that they were excited to see the father-son duo play together. Fans claimed that Bronny would eventually “cook” in the NBA with his skills.
