Dennis Rodman was arguably the greatest rebounding talent in the NBA. The five-time NBA champ’s love for the game of basketball inspired him to put his body on the line every time the need arose. He was often seen flying off the court in an attempt to keep the ball in play. However, Rodman also shared a deep love for partying and gambling. He had a reputation for partying all night and unbelievably putting on amazing rebounding performances the next day. Back in 1996, Rodman intentionally got himself ejected from a game just to party with boxing legend Mike Tyson. However, the Bulls superstar’s efforts didn’t end up having the anticipated results.
In his 1997 book, ‘Walk on the Wild Side’, Dennis Rodman talked about an instance when he got himself ejected from the court during a preseason game against the Utah Jazz in 1996 in Las Vegas. The 2-time All-Star loved to party and often ended up spending days in Las Vegas gambling.

Dennis Rodman got himself ejected to party with Mike Tyson
In his book, Rodman explained that the Bulls team stayed at the Mirage in Las Vegas. The Bulls legend wanted to skip the game and go out to party. He even went to the former Bulls coach Phil Jackson with a request to let him sit out. However, Jackson denied his plea and Rodman had to play the game.
Still, Rodman desperately wanted to head out of the game early. So, he took the matter into his hands and got himself ejected by making two technical fouls. After his first foul, Rodman was worried about missing his 11 PM dinner reservations at Mikado’s as the game ran late. Thus, the Bulls legend picked up another technical foul to start his party with Mike Tyson on time. However, despite his efforts, he got rejected by Tyson.
