The entertainment industry lost one of its most beloved actresses a few days ago. Eminent actress Kirstie Alley passed away after a battle with cancer. Shaquille O’Neal and the rest of the crew at ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq‘ touched upon her death and other eminent names who have passed away on the recent episode of the podcast.

Shaq started a segment of the show talking about the death of Norm Pattiz. The media entrepreneur happened to know Shaq and was also a Lakers fan.

Alley’s tragic passing away was also addressed by the crew. Shaq talked about his interactions with the Emmy-winning actress while Nichelle Turner gave her thoughts on the dreaded disease.

Shaquille O’Neal and the rest of the crew offer their condolences 

During his time in the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal was one of the most well-known athletes in the world. As a result, he was well acquainted with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Norm Pattiz happened to be a big Los Angeles Lakers and Shaq fan. Moreover, he introduced Shaq to the podcast world.

Lakers icons like LeBron James, Magic Johnson, and Shaq offered their condolences after Pattiz passed away recently. Kirstie Alley happened to be another celebrity who was well acquainted with O’Neal.

The four-time NBA champion met her on numerous occasions and she was always nice to the 7-foot-1 inches tall star. Shaq said, “Yeah Kirstie Alley, let me tell you something, she was so nice to me. Met her a couple of times at the four seasons, oh she was just so nice. It always amazed me that the superstars knew who I was.”

Nichelle Turner gave her condolences to her family and said, “Yeah, I mean you know, cancer sucks. Cancer’s a b**ch and we hate cancer.” Interestingly enough, Alley and her husband were Shaq fans as she happened to know him and she also talked about enjoying his games.

Shaq lost a close family member to cancer a few years ago

Shaquille O’Neal lost his sister, Ayesha Harrison-Jex, to cancer back in 2019. She had been battling cancer for the past three years and was laid to rest in a military cemetery next to her father and Shaq’s step-father, Phillip Harrison.

O’Neal was absent from ‘Inside the NBA’ following this tragic loss and had to cancel an event. The rest of the crew filled in the audience regarding Shaq’s absence from the show.
