“Cannot Win Without Steph and Klay”: Coach Steve Kerr’s Big Update Worries Warriors Fans After Tough Loss
Follow Us
NBA stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have been the best players for the Golden State Warriors for a long time now. The ‘Splash Brothers’ have led their team to several championship campaigns, which have made the pair fan favorites over the years. Therefore, when Curry had to take time off from the court due to a shoulder injury, the responsibility mostly shifted to Thompson. However, a recent health update on Thompson has become a worrying factor for the Dub Nation fans.
The Golden State Warriors have played 11 games without their centerpiece, Stephen Curry, following his injury. While Warriors fans have been waiting for Steph to rejoin his teammates, teammate Klay Thompson was abruptly pulled out of the Warriors’ losing effort against the Orlando Magic yesterday as a ‘precautionary’ measure.

The Golden State Warriors have been doing well without Stephen Curry. In fact, they recently won five-straight games before the streak was broken by the Detroit Pistons. Following the loss against the Pistons, the Warriors faced the Orlando Magic on Saturday night at Chase Center. Fans were probably looking forward to witnessing Klay Thompson lead the team to yet another victory. The 32-year-old NBA star is currently in the form of his career, averaging 20.6 PPG.

However, the four-time NBA champion was removed from the lineup several minutes before the game tipped off. According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, head coach Steve Kerr made the decision as a “precautionary” step due to Thompson’s knee soreness. The 5x NBA All-Star had sustained a left knee injury during the Game 6 of 2019 NBA Finals.
