NBA fans from the 80s and 90s don’t seem to have any doubts about Michael Jordan being the greatest player of all time. Jordan dominated the NBA throughout his career but his status as the GOAT has come under threat in the past few years due to LeBron James. Most of the people belonging to this millennium have not seen His Airness play but have witnessed LeBron James rise to the top. An NFL insider, who has watched both the greats, recently had a stern take on MJ’s greatness.

The age-old debate about who the GOAT of the NBA is doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. Be it LeBron, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, or anyone else, Michael Jordan is usually the one everyone is compared to. The NFL Insider gave light to that fact with his tweet.

 “If you want all of the above in a single player, look for MJ” 

NFL Insider, Lake Lewis Jr. went to his Twitter account to announce a bold take on Chicago Bulls legend, Michael Jordan. In that tweet, he mentioned NBA greats and current players who have dominated the league and have set records in different categories of the game. Lake wrote, “I just saw this on FB and I believe it’s true”.

Lake mentioned all the NBA greats in their respective category in which they excelled. However, at the end of mentioning all these great players, he wrote, ” Now, if you want all of the above in a single player, then look for Michael Jordan.” Michael has almost dominated all these categories in his NBA career, that’s what the post intended to signify.

While it is a personal opinion, MJ’s list of accomplishments put things into perspective. The Black Jesus is a 5-time league MVP, 6-time NBA champion, 2-time DPOY, 10-time scoring champion, 2-time Slam Dunk champion, and top 5 in the all-time scoring record, among many more feats. Jordan not only dominated the game but he was a primary reason behind the sport’s booming popularity in the 90s. As soon as Lake sent out the tweet, it gave rise to a Twitter war.

Lewis’ tweet on Michael Jordan’s greatness made some of the fans agree, while some disagreed with Jordan’s GOAT status. One fan tweeted, “True Jordan the Goat for a reason. Can’t argue with this take.“Let’s look at some of the other tweets in support of MJ.

Nevertheless, there were certain fans who believed otherwise.

The debate on who is the greatest basketball player of all time is a never-ending one. Different fans have different perspectives on players and it’s hard to say who is the greatest. However, the tweet might have changed some Jordan haters into admirers.
