Over the years Charles Barkley has had his fair share of disagreements with other people involved in the sport. The NBA legend is also accused of being a Kevin Durant-hater, which he completely denies. However, he recently didn’t hold himself back from bluntly admitting his dislike towards Skip Bayless. Although this wasn’t the first time when Barkley expressed his feelings for the columnist.
Additionally, Chuck also discussed the recent Los Angeles Lakers onslaught at the hands of the Denver Nuggets. The 60-year-old slammed the media for the disrespect shown to the Nuggets despite playing one of their finest seasons in franchise history. He also criticized the narrative being built around LeBron James even after his team got crushed in the Conference Finals.

After the Nuggets defeated the Lakers in 4 straight games, the NBA world was in a frenzy but that only lasted a few hours. Conversations, discussions, and high praise are what should have followed their triumph. However, everything quickly turned to LeBron and the anticipation of his retirement. The Nuggets had little to no buzz around their name which confused Barkley at first.
Then he realized that it is just another attempt by LeBron to gain the media’s attention. During a recent appearance on the Dan Patrick Show, Chuck even said that the Lakers superstar strategically ‘hinted’ towards his retirement so that the Nuggets don’t get the respect and attention they deserve.

The Hall of Famer said that he turned off his TV due to the unfair treatment of the Nuggets’ success by the media. He said, “The first two blocks were all about LeBron instead of what the Denver Nuggets have accomplished.” Chuck called it as he sees it on LeBron’s timing of hinting at his retirement.
He said, “I think he did it intentionally. There’s no way he is retiring.” The NBA veteran added that he is disappointed because LeBron, “took the shine away from the Nuggets.” As Sir Charles was clearly unhappy with the media drama, Patrick asked him why he still watches ESPN.

As the 60-year-old is on a fitness journey, he spends a lot of time on the treadmill.

He said that while he is on the treadmill, he needs to watch something to get going with the process. “You know I can’t watch that punk a** Skip Bayless,” he replied. Bayless and Barkley have not been on good terms for a long time. The 1993 MVP has been very vocal about his feelings toward Bayless.

Earlier in February, he said, “I don’t like the guy,” and that Bayless judges athletes based on personal agendas. Bayless is known for bashing athletes unnecessarily which Barkley believes stems from his personal opinion of them. He also thinks that people like Bayless abuse the powers of a TV show as they can easily misguide a viewer.
