The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves with a score of 108-103, with LeBron James and Malik Monk scoring 26 and 22 points respectively. After a disappointing run of consecutive losses, it is finally good to see the Lakers back on track. A five-point scoring run by Carmelo Anthony kept the Lakers from falling behind by four points.

A short interview was held with Anthony where he talked about his performance and the Laker’s perspective on the game. With the lack of players, Anthony’s great performance is helping the Lakers to come back into their original form.

It was Anthony’s three-pointer against the Timberwolves in the last minute that heightened the excitement of the match. Despite getting fouled, he was able to convert the free throw. This was a part of the 14 points he scored in the game.

“He’s done a great job for us all year. He’s brought a great deal of basketball integrity to our team, making sure guys are playing the right way offensively.”

During the interview, Anthony noted that the team had lost their previous encounters against the Timberwolves, but they worked hard and did not give up. The last match did allow them to reap the rewards of their hard work towards the game.

Moreover, he mentioned his strategy of playing the game as observing his players, opponents’ defense, and offensively how they are going. In reference to his last-minute three-pointer, he said:

“It’s just something about being in this arena. This crowd, the flow of the game, I love it here.”

The last-minute point definitely helped the Lakers in their run against the Timberwolves since seeing the players give great performances and be committed to the team certainly gives hope to Lakers fans.
