Shaquille O’Neal was sued by the plaintiffs of the FTX class action case, shortly after the crypto exchange company went bankrupt. Legal action was taken when the company revealed that $8.9 billion of the customer funds were unaccounted for. The representatives of the law firm sent legal complaints to every defendant involved in the case. However, their attempts to serve the Los Angeles Lakers legend failed repeatedly. After eluding the servers for five months, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal was finally served in front of his Atlanta residence.
Due to the failed attempts, Moskowitz Law Firm sought permission to go forth with the process electronically. The notion was denied by a Florida judge, leaving them no choice but to make several more attempts to serve Shaq physically.

Shaquille O’Neal gets served in the FTX lawsuit
Since the lawsuit was filed, process servers have made 20 attempts to serve Shaquille O’Neal. However, each time, the 4x NBA champion managed to evade them. Servers reportedly showed up at his Texas and Georgia houses but to no avail. Furthermore, they were also prompted to pay him a visit to the “Inside the NBA” venue only to be denied access to the studio. After failing to meet Shaq, the plaintiffs’ representative Moskowitz Law Firm sought out the NBA analyst through Twitter.

In the tweet, the law firm requested Shaq to ‘have the courtesy & honor to simply allow our process servers tomorrow to deliver our legal complaint on your behalf, so you can defend your actions in this matter’.
Following that, Stephanie Murray of The Block broke the major news on her social media handle. Less than an hour later, the law firm itself posted a follow-up tweet. They shared that Shaq was served outside his million-dollar Atlanta mansion.
