Will Westbrook join Boston Celtics?

Fans expected the Lakers trio of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook to counter the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets trio of Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving looked sensational on paper just like Lakers’. And despite keeping Irving on the sidelines, the Nets have performed well this season.

According to HoopsHype, “The Boston Celtics are a team that could use a more traditional point guard, and Westbrook theoretically could be a decent fit there since their best lineup would have three good shooters surrounding him.

Russell Westbrook this season

Westbrook has been on the receiving end of fans, analysts, and former players. They have bashed Westbrook and Anthony Davis mercilessly for their play and inability to find form.

The Memphis game pretty much sums up Westbrook’s season so far. He has committed far too many costly errors, especially during the fourth quarter of the game. “Russ has very loud, very important mistakes. High leverage mistakes and moments have been a major problem for Russ all year round,” said Brian Kamenetzky of the Locked on Lakers podcast.

Westbrook averages 19.5 points per game,8.2 rebounds, and 8.4 assists this season. With the Lakers struggling for a playoff spot, Westbrook really needs to up his game.
