Two of the most dominant athletes of their generation are Michael Jordan and Tom Brady. And ever since the retirement of Brady, the media has been busy discussing his glorious career.
One of the biggest debates surrounding the world of sport is who had the better career? Was it Michael Jordan? Or was it Tom Brady? It is certainly a tough task to compare two legends, but NBA legend Charles Barkley has a clear answer.

According to him, NFL is tougher when it comes to the playoffs. And that’s the reason why Barkley feels Brady has had it tough when compared to Jordan.
Charles Barkley on Brady and Jordan
Both Michael Jordan and Tom Brady are widely considered the greatest players in their respective sports. While most fans find it tough to compare two iconic superstars, Charles Barley feels Brady edges over Jordan.

He feels the NFL playoffs procedure is a lot tougher compared to the NBA, and that’s what puts Brady over MJ. Barkley said, “I got a man crush on him, but I gotta give credit, the dude’s been in 10 superbowls! That’s crazy!“
He further adds, “I always tell people, ‘football is different.’ When you try to compare Michael and guys like that, you’re talking about the greatest athletes ever. And I said, ‘this dude deserves a lot of credit for the simple fact… in football, especially in the playoffs, every game is a game seven.’“
This is not the first time Barkley has chosen Brady over Jordan. He has mentioned multiple times in the past why he feels Tom Brady will always have an edge over MJ.

Tom Brady vs Michael Jordan
The two athletes have won almost all there was to win. While Brady has one more title than Michael Jordan, the difference between the two isn’t much.
Tom Brady has the best stats in football in almost all categories, including the likes of all-time passing yards and passing touchdowns. While Jordan is ranked number 5 in the all-time scoring list of the NBA.
Although Jordan might not have better stats when compared to Brady, he makes up for it in per-game and per-minute production. Jordan ranks number 1 in points per game and player efficiency rating.
Talking about titles, Jordan has won 6 NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls. While Tom Brady has 7 with the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
