Apart from accurate game reports, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal continue to stand as the two pillars of the show. Yet again putting a smile on the fans’ faces, Charles Barkley’s crazy “soap” story cracked up the Los Angeles Lakers legend, along with the rest of the viewers. 

In an episode for ‘The Steam Room’ podcast, Charles Barkley shared a weird story to co-host Ernie Johnson, which the Inside The NBA crew reacted to. Shaquille O’Neal, who recently made a return to the show after his hip surgery, couldn’t hold his laughter after listening to the former Phoenix Suns star’s story.

This was not the first time Chuck shared a crazy story. In several instances, Barkley has managed to crack up the entire set of live TV show with his hilarious anecdotes. Though Barkley shared the story on a different platform this time, the crew still made sure that they discussed it on Thursday.

The former Phoenix Suns superstar went on to share a weird reason as to why he carries his own soap when he travels. Barkley mentioned in the podcast, “You know I travel with my own soap…I travel with an enormous bar of soap. I love soap”. When asked why by co-host Ernie Johnson, Barkley replied, “Because these hotels started being cheap. Those bars ain’t big enough.”

He added, “I almost had a couple of accidents with the soap in hotels… When I was washing a part of my body I almost had a little incident”. Unable to control his laughter, Johnson replied, “What the heck are you talking about?”. Barkley further explained, “I almost lost it and I was like ‘Wooh, that was too close for comfort.’ So now I travel with my own big bars of soap.”

Shaquille O’Neal and Co. lose it as they react to Barkley’s crazy story

Shaquille O’Neal did not join the show for a few weeks after he went through hip replacement surgery recently. The former Los Angeles Lakers center made a return to the show last week and after listening to Barkley’s justification for carrying his own soap, the Big Diesel could not stop laughing.
