Up until last season, the Philadelphia 76ers were easily one of the top contenders in the NBA. They were at the top of the Eastern Conference, and no one could have predicted what happened next. With Ben Simmons’ absence still a problem, the? 76ers might have said goodbye to their title for now.

Charles Barkley ? who is very clear on who he supports ? chose to share his opinion on the matter.

While Joel Embiid is out there to support and give his all to his team, it might not be enough to secure the 76ers a title.

“I don’t know. But I’m saying, it doesn’t matter. Not if they don’t have Ben Simmons it don’t. Not if they don’t make a trade,” Barkley said. “They can have the No. 1 seed. They’re not gonna to win the Championship until they handle the Simmons situation”.?

He further added no one in their right mind would ever refer to the 76ers as the team to beat right now. Furthermore, he mentioned the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks as his top two choices. While the Nets are dealing with their own situation, they seem to have a better grasp on their situation.

Furthermore, Barkley continues to feel bad for Joel Embiid. “It is not even going to matter, because until they figure out what to do with Ben Simmons, the Sixers are not true contenders”.

Fans seemed to agree with Barkley, some were even impressed that he made his point without calling out Simmons completely. After all, it is a situation the 76ers have to address. “I still can’t believe this is still a problem,” wrote one fan, just waiting for the team to move forward.
