Charles Barkley Slams Scottie Pippen for Michael Jordan Comments: “That Little Worth of Money Ain’t Worth Me Burning Down the Whole House”

Scottie Pippen has recently released his memoir, “Unguarded” in which he has accused Michael Jordan of being a bad teammate. This act by him has helped his book as it has been on the news since the last month. A lot of retired players and former teammates have bashed Pippen for this act of his calling out the facts in his book. The latest personality to comment on the issue is Charles Barkley, who, as always, had a very witty response.

Charles Barkley recently shared his views on Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen in particular. Barkley was on the SiriusXM podcast where he was asked about Scottie Pippen’s book and the portrayal of Michael Jordan.

“First, I haven’t read the book, I’ve only read excerpts. But some of the stuff he said about Michael was really not cool at all. I know that’s how you sell books Larry, but I would think personally even if I had an issue with somebody. I would have probably tried to freeze it differently or I would say you know what, we won six championships together. That little worth of money ain’t worth for me burning down the whole house.”

Barkley joins the list of stars who have bashed Pippen for his views. Former teammates have come out to support Michael Jordan and also have called out Pippen for misrepresentation. According to Scott Williams, a former player for the Chicago Bulls, Scottie Pippen never answers texts and calls. Williams also mentions how Michael Jordan always has time for his teammates.

Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan came into the league at the same time in 1984. They have had intense battles on the basketball court during their playing days. So, what is the thing which unites both of them? It is the love for golf and gambling. Although, according to Barkley, the two have fallen apart lately.

A few months ago, Barkley talked about his relationship with Michael Jordan on Back on the Record with Bob Costas. When asked about him and Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley had to say a lot.
“We’re not. And I take some responsibility for that. I criticized him he was one of my best friends, and I definitely love him and miss him. To be honest with you, I have to do my job.“
