The Los Angeles Lakers’ struggles have been endless this season. LeBron James has been under the immense pressure of carrying the Lakers. With his performances, LeBron has been excelling individually, but that is not the case with his Lakers side. Currently, 9th seed, the Lakers’ disappointing games are a constant this season. It would not be an understatement to say that this season has been a disaster.

This year has been proof that James leading the Lakers to the title behind closed doors in 2019-2020 was not that impressive in retrospect. James came to Los Angeles with a lot of expectations and whether one likes it or not, both the team and James have not lived up to the expectations. A championship-winning season followed by two seasons full of struggles is only dampening the legacy of LeBron.

LeBron James and a “Washed” Lakers side

The current situation for James is that of a free fall right now. Experts, fans, and players themselves have shown signs of utter disappointment and disbelief. Shaq and Charles Barkley have shown how disappointed they are seeing the crumbling Lakers. Amidst the downfall of the Lakers, The Inside NBA guys were also in mighty praise of Reggie Jackson

Charles Barkley said, “It was so funny watching Reggie Jackson just love embarrassing these guys.”

Reggie Jackson was on top of his game against the Lakers as he recorded his season-high 36 points. Other than that, he had 8 rebounds and 9 assists. He completely dominated and showed the best of his capabilities. Whereas James had the most points, 26 for his team, Reggie Jackson actually ran riot. He was practically unstoppable and was enjoying putting up a noteworthy performance.

This was not all. Russell Westbrook is not having a good season. Everyone knows that. But this? This is just ruthless from Reggie.

Not only did he embarrass Russ, but he also did not give Russ the satisfaction of responding to his provocation. Instead, he went on to score a three-pointer and then a layup; both by beating his man, Westbrook.

Since the NBA All-Star break, the Lakers have been winless and the Clippers have not lost any game. One city, two teams, two simple words to summarize the big contrast between them.
