Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen are arguably one of the best duos of all time. Both of them played for the Chicago Bulls and won six championships together. They were an integral part of the Chicago Bulls Dynasty that dominated the league for several years.
Netflix released a documentary called The Last Dance in 2020, which documented the last season of the Chicago Bulls title run. It was critically acclaimed, and Jordan was praised for his dedication and work ethic. This documentary showed how great Jordan was and reaffirmed his status as the greatest of all time.

But the documentary destroyed Jordan’s relationship with his teammate and friend, Scottie Pippen. Recently in an interview, Charles Oakley, a former teammate of Jordan and Pippen, revealed what’s going on between them. He went on ‘The Bill Simmons Podcast’ to tell that the relationship between them has changed forever.
Oakley is sure and convinced that the former teammates will never speak to each other again. He said ” You know, they was playing golf together, you know, a few months before The Last Dance came out… I think they featured Dennis Rodman more than Scottie Pippen – and Steve Kerr.”
Charles Oakley Claims Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan are over
Oakley believes that the duo is over. The Last Dance deteriorated the relationship between them, with Pippen feeling like he didn’t get enough credit. Oakley added “But my thing to that is, Kerr did way more off the court than Scottie. Dennis probably has, too. But on that court, Scottie did a lot more than both of them, but Scottie felt like he was left out of there. And he felt like Jordan wouldn’t have six rings if it wasn’t for him.”

The documentary definitely damaged their relationship and Scottie felt like he was betrayed by Jordan. He wasn’t happy with how he was portrayed and he felt he was shown as a villain. Scottie also wasn’t happy he didn’t receive any money as well. Jordan hasn’t responded to any of this and it seems like he isn’t gonna do anything about it. Hopefully, it all works out between the former teammates in the future.
