The Los Angeles Lakers locking horns with the Phoenix Suns is probably the biggest test for them to understand where they stand. While the Suns are an obvious choice to place your bets on, the Lakers didn’t disappoint too much either in the first half of the game. Despite being riddled with injuries and players entering health and safety protocols, they managed to go head to head with the sole team immune to the virus. However, there is still one player who is yet to impress fans and that’s DeAndre Jordan.

Do fans want DeAndre Jordan out?

The Phoenix Suns have had both of their star players suffering from injuries. But thankfully with that over and Devin Booker also back, they have a fully healthy roster. On the other hand, the Lakers are having to face every single problem that can possibly exist. So, before the game began, it seemed obvious that when a fully healthy purple and gold team wasn’t efficient, there is no way a depleted one stood any chance against the Suns.

However, Phoenix didn’t have the best start to the game. The purple and gold outscored them in the first quarter, and only trailed by three points in the second. Unfortunately, the Lakers’ inconsistency has been the theme for this season. So, there is no telling how much they will be able to keep up in the second half of the game.

If only they had all of their players playing at full potential, they wouldn’t be in this mess. Almost every superstar in the team has faced heat for their disappointing performances. But DeAndre Jordan’s performance so far against the Suns was a new low. By half-time he only had one point to contribute and this made fans absolutely furious. Here’s how they reacted on Twitter.

It seems like the ‘super team’ that everyone assumed they had put together this offseason, is hardly even a team. There is hardly any chemistry and players have failed to step up to their roles.

It is impressive, that the Lakers were able to keep the match close until halftime. However, with a duo like Chris Paul and Devin Booker, and a strong bench, Phoenix is likely to leave their opponents behind in the second half.

But if the LA team pulls off a miraculous upset, it would be more than enough to shut all the haters down for a while. Defeating a team that is sitting at the top of the Western Conference will only boost their confidence. And hopefully, give them the momentum they need to go up from here. However, the second half awaits. So, let’s wait and watch.
