Back in 2015, Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan made the headlines for having quelled a fight. The now 58-year-old is one of the league’s greatest ever players, and was a physical giant himself. He used his authority and stature to prevent a huge altercation from breaking out. The incident took place immediately after the historic Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao fight in Vegas. As chaos broke out and there was a lot of tension, Jordan managed to play pacifier.

During his playing days, ‘MJ’ was one of the most feared competitors in the NBA. Along with the likes of Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman, he built a once-in-a-lifetime team. He averaged over 30 points for the franchise, and was a devastating man to guard. On his night, Jordan was practically unstoppable; if he set out to achieve something, he would do so with the utmost flair. As a result, it was only natural for the icon to put an end to the potential brawl.

When Michael Jordan prevented a brawl between gang member and his bodyguard

In the course of the intense match, the 14-time All-star also made his presence felt. When one of his bodyguards pushed a man in order to clear the path for ‘His Airness’, the concerned individual did not take it well. In fact, he was reportedly a ‘Piru’- member of a street gang. As things got heated, Jordan was able to calm things down and stop the gang member from potentially attacking his guard.

With so many people around his boss, it was only natural that the bodyguard shoved some bodies. However, the angry person did not appreciate the way he was pushed, and was stepping in for confrontation. Instead, he ran into a calm Jordan, who told him to “Cool your sh*t” in the parking lot. Hilariously enough, the altercation perhaps had more chances of turning into a brawl than the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight did.
