The Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is always in the spotlight. Be it for his insane plays on the court or the moves he makes off of it. James is quite active on social media and is always involved in something or the other. He is known for recognizing individuals in different fields and doesn’t shy away from giving shout-outs on his social media accounts. 

The King has seen his fair share of hard times while growing up. And that is why he acknowledges those who are putting in the grind on a daily basis. Fans can often see LeBron James collaborating with individuals or organizations from time to time. He does so to provide exposure to those who deserve it and to add to his empire as well.

LeBron James and his favorite music

James is a huge fan of rap music and enjoys listening to music quite a lot like many others. He has been name-dropped by many rappers in their songs as well.

Out of the 19 seasons he has played in the NBA, he has had 18 All-Star selections. James won the Rookie of the Year award in his first year in the league. He has four MVP awards, four Finals MVPs, and four championship rings as well.

Being an avid music aficionado, James’ Instagram stories often consist of him jamming to some newly released music by some of his favorite artists or just enjoying some of the classics. In a recent Instagram story post, James was seen paying tribute to hip-hop legend Coolio after his demise.

Coolio, whose real name was Artis Leon Ivey Jr., passed away at the age of 59. The rapper rose to fame in the mid-1990s and was best known for his song ‘Gangster’s Paradise’. Even LeBron James was rocking this song in his Instagram story with the caption, ‘Exactly where he is now! GANGSTER’S PARADISE.’ 

Musicians and rappers are often seen with James

The Los Angeles Lakers great was clearly a fan of Coolio growing up as he paid tribute to the late rapper. James can often be seen hanging out with rappers and musicians, not just on the sidelines during his games but off the court as well. Rappers like Drake, Jay-Z, 2 Chainz, and many more have been spotted talking to James or hanging out with him before the start of a game.
