Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry finally got his degree. After leaving Davidson College with a year left to join the NBA, Curry recently came back and completed his classes.
Curry was a phenomenal player at Davidson College, but in 2009, he was ready for the NBA. But he still had a year left to get his degree at Davidson. And he was distraught about it. He did not know what to do, whether to stay at Davidson College or leave for the NBA.

And it seems like a wise decision. Curry was subsequently picked by the Golden State Warriors as the 7th pick in the 2009 NBA draft. His first years showed promise, and the Warriors had a potential star of the future in their hands. However, there were concerns about his injury history.
Curry’s journey from a potential star to the face of the league
Curry slowly improved, and he was an All-Star by 2014 and had a few playoff rounds by then too. And then the Warriors hired Steve Kerr as their head coach. This changed the Warriors and Curry’s fortunes. The Warriors were now one of the best teams in the NBA and Curry was the MVP that season.

And they won the title in 2015. Then Curry took another gigantic leap the following year, and he had arguably one of the greatest seasons of all time. However, this did not translate into success, as the Warriors lost in the Finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
They did win two more championships after the Warriors signed Kevin Durant. But when he left, the Warriors went through two years of lows where they didn’t even make the playoffs. However, last season put Curry and the Warriors back on top. They won their fourth title in eight years and Curry won his first Finals MVP.

And adding to that, Stephen Curry came back and finished his degree at Davidson College and had his jersey number retired as well. Curry may have cried to his wife, but it seemed to have worked out in the end as he has built a $160 million net worth and a Hall of Fame resume to boot.
