Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have not had a very good start to the year. They have lost more times in January than they did in the entire season before that. Curry, who was playing at an all-time high, suddenly looks human. Even though Klay Thompson made his much-awaited return, they have missed the presence of Draymond Green.

The Warriors have been struggling mightily as of late. They got humiliated when they played the Milwaukee Bucks at the start of the year. Likewise, they have lost to teams that they have no business losing to on paper. Without Green, they looked exposed at the defensive end, and offensively they miss his ball-handling and playmaking skills.

Klay has looked solid, but he will need time to get back into the rotation. However, the main reason for the Warrior’s struggle has been the play of Stephen Curry.

After the overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers, the Warriors will look to bounce back against the Houston Rockets. Klay Thompson sat out the game as it was his second game in as many days. Curry will hope to have a big game as his struggles have affected the Warriors mightily. Green missed the twelfth game in a row as he recovers from calf soreness.

Curry was the MVP favorite before the start of the year. He was absolutely balling out as the Warriors held the best record in the league. But now, he has been missing struggling to get going. He has been missing wide-open shots, which is something very unusual for Curry. His inside game also seems to have disappeared as he had missed easy layups and floaters.

He has been ineffective in crunch time as well as he missed a wide-open shot to tie the game against the Pacers. If the Golden State Warriors wish to win the title this year, they better hope that their captain returns to playing at an MVP level.
