Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is the face of ‘Under Armour’. The company took a gamble on Curry and is now reaping the benefits. Curry too is getting a nice share as he gets about $40 million a year. But when an old video showed his “heavily supported” ankles, his shoe deal was bought up by fans.

Before Stephen Curry became a superstar, there was a lot of doubt surrounding him. And most of them were injury related, particularly his ankles. He had nagging ankle injuries, and many questioned if he could be healthy. But Curry put in the work and he became one of the defining players of this generation. And he signed a deal with ‘Under Armour’ which made him the face of the brand.
But before Curry joined ‘Under Armour’, he had a meeting with ‘Nike’. However, that meeting went horribly and Nike did not put in the effort to convince Curry. And this was enough for Curry to ditch ‘Nike’.
Stephen Curry loses a shoe in the middle of the game, exposing his ankles
Despite Curry becoming one of the league’s best players, he still is bothered by that ankle. He has gotten injured a few times, and this caused him to miss games. Thus, he still takes care of his ankles, ensuring he avoids injuries as much as possible.
The incident happened in a game against the Boston Celtics. Curry was driving to the basket, and Jayson Tatum stepped on his shoe and it came off. And the camera then panned to his heavily supported ankles.

One fan said,” Curry f*cked up his ankles wearing Nikes. He hasn?t had recurring issues ever since switching to Under Armour”.
Another one credited Curry’s smartness to protect himself and he said, “Seems smart to me. Preventative measures are easier than reparative ones”.
