“Daddy Always Called You..”: Vanessa Bryant Emotionally Recalls Husband Kobe Bryant After Little Daughter’s Sweet Moment

The sudden and unexpected passing of NBA great Kobe Bryant was a huge loss to the world of basketball. But he and his daughter’s absence would be felt in the Bryant household every day. Vanessa Bryant lost her loving husband and her daughter on the same day.
Capri Kobe Bryant was the youngest of the four children, born in 2019. She was named after her loving father, Kobe Bryant. She was just a few months old when Kobe and Gianna were killed in the helicopter crash.
Now Vanessa Bryant shared a photo of Capri as an Instagram story with the captions “Daddy always called you “B.B. Kiddo” IYKYK”.

In one of the recent podcasts with Jake Paul, Snoop Dogg said how Kobe Bryant inspired him and his son to be better fathers for their daughters.

Kobe Bryant was more than just a basketball player
Kobe Bryant was a generational player in the NBA. He has inspired millions of fans around the world throughout his life. Even after retiring, he showed the world that one can be better at anything if one put in the work by winning an Oscar. Bryant was the first-ever athlete to win the prestigious Oscar award.
But more than anything, he wanted to be a good father and loved his children with all his heart. He gave them the confidence to do whatever they wanted to do and made them strong. His oldest daughter, Natalia, plays volleyball in high school. His second-oldest, the late Gianna, played basketball just like his father.

They shared a common passion for basketball and were in attendance during multiple NBA games. After retiring, Bryant was coaching Gianna and her AAU team as well. Kobe has also stated that Gigi was the reason he started watching basketball again. They often played against each other during practice sessions.

Another NBA legend, Tracy McGrady, was able to catch up with long-time friend Kobe during their daughters’ basketball games. In an interview after Bryant’s death, McGrady revealed how in the early days Kobe used to talk about dying young and being immortalized. But Tracy said that this changed after Bryant became a father.

McGrady said, “He used to say, ‘I wanna die young. I wanna be immortalized. I want to have my career be better than Michael Jordan and I wanna die young.’ And I just thought he was so crazy for saying that.”

He said, “Clearly that statement was way before kids. Once he had kids, he didn’t have that mindset.”
The Lakers legend will be missed forever.
