Vanessa Bryant, widow of NBA legend, the late Kobe Bryant is suing L.A. County over the graphic leaked images of the helicopter crash that killed her husband, daughter, and seven others. She walked into the court accompanied by her daughter, Natalia Bryant, and friends, Ciara and Monica. The Bryants and the families of the helicopter crash victims are going through a very tough time at the moment. Vanessa was seen holding her daughter’s hand on her way to the court.

As per reports, they sat behind Vanessa and even accompanied her outside when she needed to take a moment. On Friday, she took the stand and gave an emotional 3-hour testimony about what she went through.

Vanessa said that she lived in fear that any day the graphic pictures could pop up on social media. She said, “I bolted out of the house and I broke down and cried and I just wanted to run down the block and scream. I can’t escape my body. I can’t escape what I feel.”

Vanessa Bryant received threats

A month after the crash, the LA Times reported, sheriff’s deputies were sharing “graphic photos” in the days following the crash. Vanessa said that she was with her other three daughters when the news broke out. Vanessa also said that she received direct threats on social media claiming to leak the photos.

Kobe Bryant, along with his daughter and 7 others, were on their way to a youth basketball game. The basketball legend has been using that helicopter for years at that point. To avoid the traffic of Los Angeles, he started using it for games. And even after retiring, he continued using the helicopter.

After retiring, Bryant spent more time with his family. He had been coaching his daughter’s AAU basketball team called ‘The Mambas’. He was coaching them for a second straight year. Bryant also loved telling stories and inspiring kids. So he focussed on these two and made ‘Dear Basketball’.

It is an animated short film written and directed by the Lakers legend. The film won the Oscar award in the category of best animated short film. And Bryant became the first athlete ever to win an Oscar award. Furthermore, his work ethic and obsession to win will always be an inspiration for everyone. And fans around the world will always remember him.
