Daughter Used Google to Find Out Who Her Father, NBA Legend Michael Jordan, Really Was: “Why Didn’t Everyone Think He Just Had a Regular Job Like I Did?”

Michael Jordan is a global superstar. The stardom and legacy that the Chicago Bulls legend built through his on-court mastery is unrivaled. In an era, when the NBA was in dire need of a catalyst, ‘His Airness’ stepped up and completely revolutionized the game of basketball.

However, his legacy wasn’t just limited to the realms of hoops. It leaked beyond it. With his reign of dominance, he introduced the world to a whole new definition of superstardom. And Jordan still shows no signs of stepping off that throne. His genius to be able to remain as one of the most prominent figures in sports is nothing less than phenomenal.

Interestingly, Jordan’s daughter, Jasmine, had no idea what made her father so famous. He was simply the loving father she had always known. In fact, she admitted once that she Googled her father when she was younger to find out what made him so famous.

Daughter Jasmine turned to Google to learn about Michael Jordan and his stardom

The Last Dance was released in April 2020. This provided the world a wonderful look inside Michael Jordan‘s unparalleled legendary career. Jordan’s daughter Jasmine was also one of those people who learned more about his father’s heroics through the doc series.

MJ achieved a phenomenal level of notoriety with his basketball wizardry, which came as a surprise to his children. Jasmine, in fact, stated that she had to Google her father to figure out what was the fuss all about.

“I had kids and teachers and stuff at school telling me ‘it’s incredible your father is who he is,'” Jasmine said. “And I’m thinking, ‘you all haven’t met my father to my knowledge, how do you know this?'” 

“So I did, I googled him, and I found a lot, clearly,” she added. “I had that conversation with my father afterwards and he just laughed and was like, ‘Hey, there’s no way to really tell you anything like that.'”

She went on to say that she was grateful for how her father helped her and her siblings feel and grow up normal while he was domineering the basketball world. Jasmine stated that she was too young at the time to comprehend what was all the chaos about. However, watching ‘The Last Dance’ helped her understand all that was going on.

Jasmine was born in 1992, the year Michael Jordan won his second NBA title. Her father retired from basketball when she was just 10 years old. It’s certainly difficult to grasp what your parents do for a living when you’re so young.
