LeBron James is hampering his teammate’s craft

Celtics Legend, Paul Pierce talked about the two Lakers on Ticket & The Truth. Pierce gave his opinion on how James might be holding back Davis’s craft from improving. The 2008 NBA Champion said, “You know why I don’t think he put up these numbers consistently when Bron is out there. Because I feel like Bron ain’t referred to him yet, because he ain’t gave him that confidence. I actually think the Lakers will be a better team if Bron referred to Anthony Davis. Because we are seeing it without LeBron in there and how Anthony Davis is playing.”

Pierce is of the opinion that James’s presence in the Lakers along with Davis is restricting Davis to showcase more of his skills and put up better numbers.

He continued, “If he allows Anthony Davis to take that lead, I think the Lakers will be a better team. If Bron just stayed back and be more of a facilitator, not that he not already is, but less scoring from LeBron…like 23 p’s and…10, 11, 12 assists a game. Where Anthony Davis is your go-to guy, I think the Lakers will be a better team.”

Whether or not Pierce’s opinion is of any use to the Lakers or if they will ever consider it, only time will tell.
