However, he garnered quite a lot of infamy on the back of an incident that occurred during his New York Knicks stint. Back in 2013, a regular season Boston Celtics-New York Knicks game gave way to one of the infamous feuds of that time. It was then alleged that severe trash-talking was involved between Carmelo Anthony and a Celtics star. Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett locked horns numerous times while the two were playing in the Western Conference. The beef instantly became an internet sensation, and it was alleged that KG’s intense trash talking instigated Melo during the game. Ludacris soon brought the ‘Honey Nut Cheerio’ episode into the discussion. Anthony then told the rapper that KG never talked anything about the cereal and his Anthony’s wife during the game. He said that the entire things were made up by Boston fans. The sensational feud stemmed from a blog post. The article, without quoting and naming any sources, said that KG allegedly told Melo his wife tastes like the cereal.
