It looks like Kobe Bryant’s daughter, Natalia Bryant, is in good spirits following a turbulent few days. She took to Instagram to post a series of pictures with her friend at the Canadian singer, The Weeknd’s concert. This came as a respite from the shocking news that Bryant had addressed a week before.

A year ago, Teen Vogue caught up with Natalia Bryant, who spoke about her life and her famous dad, Kobe Bryant. She addressed the difficult situation of her father’s sudden demise, and how she coped with it. She said, “You do the best you can.” Probably music is her coping mechanism.

Natalia Bryant had sought a restraining order against a stalker with a criminal history involving guns. Bryant informed the necessary authorities about the matter.

Dwayne Kemp, a 32-year-old man, was reportedly harassing her online. He even showed up at her sorority and university campus. Natalia claimed that he was under a “delusion” that they were involved in a romantic relationship for 2 years.

Natalia also attached proof of his conversations with her, which urged Bryant to have a “Kobe-like child together”. She was still a minor when he contacted her.

Kobe Bryant’s daughter gets legal protection

The 19-year-old got court-ordered protection with a temporary restraining order (TRO). Natalia claimed that she felt scared and unsafe. The TRO stipulated that Kemp was required to stay at least 200 yards away from her.

Jeff Dunn, a threat assessment professional, commended Natalia for taking action and following the legal procedure. Dunn believed she made the right call by choosing to talk about her alleged stalker. He said the TRO would be effective in warding off dangerous situations.
