Cowherd explained himself by describing how the athlete in an earlier era had an air of mystery around him. Every last detail was not revealed about the personality’s life. At a time when not much was put out for the world to see and in the absence of social media, stars used to carry a certain value in the public eye. Cowherd said that even though Jordan was the most popular athlete of his time, his life was not available for the world to see. Continuing on his point, Cowherd said “Mystery is powerful” in order to highlight the issue with the current generation of athletes.
