Kyrie Irving has finally returned to the Brooklyn Nets after missing eight games. The Brooklyn Nets star joined his teammates on Sunday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. However, that was not the only highlight of the night. Before the game began, the outside of the arena was filled with what seemed like Kyrie Irving supporters. Boston Celtics star and NBPA vice president Jalen Green took to Twitter to post the spectacle. While his intentions were probably good, Green only garnered negative attention from fans online.

The Brooklyn Nets faced the Memphis Grizzlies on November 20, 2022. The game marked Kyrie Irving’s return to the court after remaining suspended for about two weeks. The game took place at the Barclays Center, the Nets’ home court. Hours before the game started, a large crowd gathered outside the arena to show support for the Nets guard.

Probably impressed by the huge turnout, Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Green tweeted a short clip of the crowd. However, things turned sour for Brown when fans accused him of “promoting” a group called Black Hebrew Israelites.

Brow posted a follow-up tweet stating that he was not aware of the identity of the group. Additionally, he stated that he was only celebrating the show of support that the crowd presented for Irving’s return.

Celtics star misunderstands Kyrie Irving supporters

Several weeks ago, Kyrie Irving had become the primary target of criticism after he shared a link to a film that contained antisemitic tropes. As a result, he had to face suspension and had to perform a series of tasks to be able to get back on the team. Irving’s suspension finally ended when he played for the Brooklyn Nets?on Sunday night.

While the heat from Irving significantly reduced, fans’ attention turned to Jaylen Brown for his recent tweets. Despite apologizing for the misunderstanding, he was not spared from the criticism.

The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Memphis Grizzlies by 127-115. Nets superstar Kevin Durant led the team with 26 points, 7 assists, and 7 rebounds. Fellow Nets teammate, Ben Simmons scored 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Whereas, Kyrie Irving scored 14 points and 5 rebounds on his return.

On the other hand, Memphis Grizzlies star Dillon Brooks led his team with 31 points, 4 assists, and 5 rebounds. Teammate John Konchar added 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists.

The Nets have a current record of 8-9 for the season so far. They will face the Philadelphia 76ers?next on November 22.
