As witnessed, athletes are often very attached to playing for the hometown teams. LeBron James’ determination to bring the Cleveland Cavaliers an NBA championship is a clear indication of that. And now with the offseason, DeMar DeRozan is showing the same symptoms of love for the Los Angeles Lakers. While the Lakers have been trying to court DeMar for a while now, it seems like it might finally come true. In fact, DeMar would be thrilled about it.

DeRozan has grown up in Southern California which makes this offer more enticing for him. He recently admitted on Club Shay Shay, “You’d love to have the opportunity to play at home, especially if they want you, why not? I think it would work [between me, LeBron & AD]. Their dynamic duo, LeBron James and Anthony Davis need more players with perimeter shooting. But if they bring in a player who struggles from the arc, Frank Vogel will have to come up with a different offensive strategy altogether.
