If you ever pissed off Kobe Bryant, you better watch out, as he will be out to get you and your team. Back in the day, Kobe humiliated his opponents countless times whenever they tried to disrespect him. If anyone has disrespected Kobe, it doesn’t matter who they are, Kobe will come at them. And that’s what happened to Chicago Bulls superstar DeMar DeRozan.

DeRozan once played for the Toronto Raptors and he used to adore Kobe Bryant. DeRozan has said that Kobe was his idol growing up, and he modeled his game after the Mamba. His mid-range game, footwork, and the ability to close in clutch time are similar to the Lakers’ great. However, the most impact Kobe has had on DeRozan is probably on his shoes.

DeRozan has always worn Kobe’s shoes since he came to the league and he wore them with pride. But once DeRozan tried another shoe out, and that infuriated Kobe.

It happened during one of his games against the Lakers. DeRozan talks about how Kobe confronted him and how he torched the Raptors for that.

DeMar always used to wear Kobe’s shoes, but on his teammate Vince Carter’s advice, he decided to wear Jordans while playing against the Lakers that day. He said ” “The relationship we had, I always wore his shoes… I was like, ‘Nah, I’m not wearing his shoes and playing against the Lakers tonight’, so I wore Jordans.”

DeRozan says this made Kobe mad. He adds,” “He said, ‘the f**k you got those on for?’ He was mad at me for doing that and he ended up hitting the game-winner on us that night, too. ”

Kobe hit the game-winner that night and infamously said that they left him too much time. And he was talking trash to DeRozan and the entire Raptors team that night. DeRozan learned his lesson that day and he never wore another pair of Jordans after that day. He also learned never to piss off Kobe Bryant.
