Dennis Rodman on Madonna: “I Couldn’t Stand Her Damn Music… if She Plays That I’d Leave the House”

Dennis Rodman is one of the most controversial figures in NBA History. He is also a five-time champion, and was a crucial part of the infamous ‘Bad Boy Pistons’. Later, he joined the Chicago Bulls during their second three-peat and also cemented himself as a legendary defensive player.

The Worm, whose off-the-court antics are as famous as his basketball records, gave many controversies to the sport. He once left the Bulls team mid-season and went to Las Vegas because he needed a break. Rodman used to dye his hair in different shades and always showed off multiple piercings.

In fact, he was also known for his romantic connections and briefly dated the Queen of Pop, Madonna.

The 60-YO was recently asked how did dating Madonna feel. Rodman answered, She was cool. Now I can give you something I can give you got something, you know, Me and Madonna, we had a great relationship, man. We dated like a year going on, off and on for three years.”

“And in the bedrooms… she’ll sit and dance. We can put on her music is so f**king Bubba Gump shit. I couldn’t stand her damn music, man. I couldn’t stand it. If she plays that I’d leave the house,” he added.

Rodman was drafted in the 1986 draft by the Detroit Pistons. He formed a formidable partnership with Isiah Thomas & Joe Dumars and won two titles with them. They were nicknamed the ‘Bad Boys’ for their hard and physical approach to basketball. He was part of the team that took down Jordan and the Chicago Bulls three years in a row.

After a brief stint with the Spurs, he joined the Chicago Bulls, once his fierce rivals. In fact, he formed a Big 3 with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. They won three titles together, and set an NBA record for most wins in a season in 1996.

Rodman is considered to be the best rebounding forward ever, and he led the league in rebounding seven times. He is also a great defensive player and a two-time winner of the defensive player of the year award.
