Another aspect of Dennis Rodman was his honesty. Much like his game on the court, Rodman liked to be blunt, sharp, and, most importantly, honest.

Whenever someone asked him about the league or any other superstar, Dennis held nothing back. For instance, he openly roasted NBA legend Wilt Chamberlain for lying.

In his book, Bad As I Wanna Be, Rodman wrote, “Wilt Chamberlain lied out of his a**.” This came after sources claimed that Rodman was the best rebounder of all time. However, Wilt disagreed with the claims.

Who is the better rebounder between Wilt and Dennis Rodman?

There is no denying that Wilt Chamberlain and Dennis Rodman are two of the best rebounders the NBA has ever seen. In his 15 seasons in the league, Chamberlain averaged 30.1 points, 4.4 assists, and a whopping 22.9 rebounds.

On the other hand, Pistons and Chicago Bulls star Rodman averaged 7.3 points, 1.8 assists, and 13.1 rebounds in his 14 seasons in the league. While Wilt has the better rebound average, many claim Rodman to be the best rebounder ever.

One of the biggest reasons behind this is Wilt’s height advantage. He was usually one of the tallest players on the court as he stood 7-foot-1 inches tall. Rodman, on the other hand, was just 6-foot-7 inches tall, and he put up such numbers despite not having the height advantage.

Moreover, studies suggested that Wilt’s era gave players more chances of rebounding. This was not the case for Rodman, who played in a very competitive era of the NBA.
