Dennis Rodman, Who Called Vladimir Putin “Cool”, Makes Big Claim on Their Friendship After Revealing Plans to Rescue Brittney Griner: “I Know Putin Too Well”

Dennis Rodman has cultivated his image as an international diplomat. This is not the first time he has taken a matter concerning international relations into his own hands. Notably, Rodman is great friends with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Not to mention, he has even previously attended several political summits with former President Donald Trump and was an advocate for American missionary Kenneth Bae in North Korea.
Recently, Rodman expressed his interest in rescuing WNBA player Brittney Griner as he claims to have an amicable relationship with President Vladimir Putin.

Rodman has committed to going to Russia to rescue Griner, who was previously detained. Recently, she was sentenced to nine years on drug charges. The entire NBA community has voiced its support for her throughout her detainment.
Commissioner Adam Silver and LeBron have extensively advocated to help Griner and bring her back. Now, Rodman, claiming to know the Russian President personally, plans to leave in the following week to rescue Griner.
There are no doubts about Rodman’s diplomatic capabilities. He takes credit for the release of Kenneth Bae from North Korea and is a beloved friend of Kim Jong Un. Kim even invited Rodman to Pyongyang in North Korea, as he is an avid basketball fan. It is also reported that the North Korean leader loves Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan.

NBC News reported that Rodman is planning to go rescue Griner from Russia. He also told NBC that he thinks that the Russian leader is ‘cool.’

Brittney Griner has been getting a lot of attention from political leaders like POTUS Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Dennis has assumed the role of an informal diplomat for the United States of America. The Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls player would look to translate his leadership from basketball to rescue Griner.
Additionally, Rodman said, “I know Putin too well.”
Clearly, Rodman appears confident in his endeavor and reports that he has permission to help the WNBA player.
