If one doesn’t believe in the doppelganger effect, one only needs to look at the San Antonio Spurs lineup. They would see a rookie that they can easily mistake for a younger Dennis Rodman. It looks like the NBA champion has had an impact on this rookie, as he follows in the footsteps of Rodman’s hair dyes and bizarre antics.

Jeremy Sochan resorted to one-handed free throws in the first half of the game between the Spurs and the Houston Rockets. His game has grabbed a lot of eyeballs. NBA fans praised the 19-year-old player and commented that “Dennis Rodman would be proud“.

The current forward dons the same jersey number (10) as Rodman and has colored hair, just like Rodman. Jeremy Sochan, himself admitted that he has watched a lot of Dennis Rodman.

Though the similarities, at first, may seem superficial, their playing styles also strike a resemblance. Both lead their teams in rebounds and have a defensive mindset. Sochan has been credited with suitable guarding as well. Both of them also enjoy trash-talking. Fans also were quick to observe that Sochan shoots 46% from FT. It looked like he was attempting to try something new. Another user wrote, “Elite tanking skills“.

A video resurfaced earlier this year showcased Dennis Rodman effortlessly shooting a ball with one hand. Rodman reportedly said, “Screw it, I will try something new“. The crowd went wild as Rodman continued to surprise us all.

Dennis Rodman had a Spurs tenure

Before he joined the Chicago Bulls, Rodman was part of the Spurs franchise. But their relationship was mostly reported to be a tumultuous and turbulent one.
