The Grizzlies signed free agent Derrick Rose after his contract with the Knicks came to an end. Signing a rather small contract worth $6.5 million for 2 years, Rose will be quite the addition to this young squad. With all the drama surrounding Morant’s off-court exploits, an experienced figure would do him good.

Having spoken highly of the former MVP before, Morant once revealed his admiration for Rose. Hours after Rose’s arrival, Desmon Bane signed a five-year max extension. Signing a $207 million contract, Bane joins Ja and Jaren Jackson Jr. on long-term deals. The 2019 ROTY took to Twitter to celebrate the news by tweeting “MONYUNNN“.
