NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is one of the richest former players ever. He made his fortune from his success on and off the hardwood. Shaq is a very smart entrepreneur and investor which helped him increase his net worth. Over the course of his career, he has won a lot of accolades which helped him sign one of the biggest contracts at the time with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Big Diesel is also a multi-talented entertainer. He was a musician, and he is still now a DJ and an actor.

Now, the Lakers legend is in Australia as part of an event with the Australian Basketball Players Association. He will also be performing his disk spinning skills in multiple venues. And ever since he landed there, he has been on multiple shows and grabbing the news everywhere. Recently, he appeared on “The Kyle and Jackie O Show” and made the news for hilariously flirting with the host Jackie O Henderson.

Now, he has done it again. This time, the 4-time NBA champion has revealed a very interesting moment between him and his son Shareef O’Neal.

The millionaire sat down with David Koch of 7News and shared a lot of things about his life. As per reports, Shaquille O’Neal has a net worth of $400 million. However, he revealed that once he was embarrassed that he needed someone else’s help to help his son Shareef. O’Neal said, “I am grateful, because I realise that the position I am in, in life, is a lucky position. I never had a real job in my life. When I was trying to help my son fill out a resume, I had to call somebody…I couldn’t do it…I was embarrassed.”

Despite this, Shaq possesses an MBA from the University of Phoenix and an Ed.D from Barry University. During the interview, the towering center also talked about the reason behind pursuing a business degree. He said that early in his career, his agents made decisions for him. And his agents did not think that he was smart enough to make his decisions. This made him feel like he was not in charge. He added that he likes to be in charge and that is the reason he pursued the degrees.

Shareef O’Neal declared for the recently concluded 2022 NBA draft where he was undrafted. However, the Lakers gave him a spot on their summer league roster. During the summer league tournament, he displayed his abilities when given the opportunity. This landed him a contract from the G-League team Ignite.
