The Nets star recently got name-dropped in one of the most popular albums of the year, and he couldn?t be more stoked about it.

Although Durant going to the movies regularly is certainly not possible, him listening to his favorite artist is still in his control. The Nets superstar recently mentioned how he loved the fact that an Oscar-nominated artist name-dropped him in her recent album.

SZA name-drops KD in her latest album ‘SOS’

The 12-time All-Star is a huge fan of Marvel’s critically acclaimed Black Panther and its music. Naturally, SZA and Rihanna are some of his favorite artists in recent times. The Nets star made it clear that he could hardly wait for them to drop their latest album. Additionally, the two-time NBA Champion hilariously mentioned how he?s ?sick of her sh*t? when SZA alongside Rihanna delayed their Black Panther: Wakanda Forever album.

Well SZA also appreciated KD and his love for her work, as she recently name-dropped the superstar in her recent album. Her album SOS mentioned a few athletes. Notably, Kevin Durant and Tom Brady. In the first song of the album, the rapper said ?I?m pressin? n**gas like KD, it?s up.?

In the recent Boardroom podcast, KD was asked how cool it was to be name-dropped by such accomplished artists in their songs.

?[It’s cool] every time. Don’t matter if it’s from a new artist that just came out yesterday, or f***ing SZA, yeah? said KD as he acknowledged how cool it was.

Well, the basketball superstar has previously been name-dropped in albums. Back in 2016, Drake recognized the Nets star’s genius in one of his songs.

SZA?s work on the first Black Panther movie was highly acclaimed, as she was nominated for the 2019 Oscars, alongside others.

The Brooklyn Nets are pretty comfortable in their conference right now. Although their start to the season was pretty shaky, they?d be happy with their current position.
