He has been competing for his country Slovenia in the World Cup qualifiers.

He played in two World Cup qualifiers with the Slovenian National Team before taking a short break. And the team kicked off their preparation for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers with a friendly against Turkey on Friday. The Slovenian captain was at his usual best against Turkey on their home soil.

However, Turkey went toe to toe throughout the game. The game went into overtime, with the scores tied at the end of regulation. It was very closely contested in the overtime as well.

However, Slovenia came through and won the nail-biter with a scoreline of 104-103. Fellow NBA star, Goran Dragic hit the clutch game-winning 3-pointer when they were trailing by 2.

So after the friendly game in Turkey, it looks like Dragic and Doncic were enjoying their time in Istanbul. A video of the duo with others sharing a taxi ride in Turkey was shared on social media. And the tall guard looked super cramped in the vehicle.

For a superstar that owns multiple luxurious cars, this might not be an ideal scenario. However, he looked like he was enjoying the ride, even though it was cramped. But the Mavs superstar is not focused on that as per his father. In 2015, Sasa Doncic, Luka’s father, was asked about his son’s chances of playing in the NBA.
