LeBron James is one of the greatest NBA players to have ever played the game. As a youngster, the Los Angeles Lakers star was often compared with NBA legends like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. However, LeBron has emerged as a legend himself over the course of his 20-season career, winning four NBA championships. Now, rising sensations are often compared with the greatness of James. Last year, one such 7 ft tall Siberian star Nikola Jokic mocked LeBron’s height in a hilarious fashion when he was compared to the Lakers giant.

Jokic came to the NBA as the 41st overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets. The four-time All-Star has emerged as the most impactful player for the Nuggets with his breathtaking performances. The Nuggets have won two division titles with Jokic in 2019 and 2020. However, Nikola Jokic is yet to win a championship.

Jokic said, “The speed is there. We are the same athletically… I don’t know. Can he jump as high as me? “…guys, I am joking.” The funny dig at James’ height was quite heartwarming from Nikola Jokic, who understands how big a star James is.

Last season, The Nuggets center averaged a career-best 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game in 74 appearances. Meanwhile, James scored an average of 30.3 points. 8.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. Considering James’ achievements in the league, Jokic still has a long way to go to reach the same level of eliteness.

It would be the second time Nikola Jokic’s team with face the Lakers this season. Last time, The Nuggets beat the Lakers by 110-99. Jokic put up 31 points with 13 rebounds and nine assists, while James scored 19 points with seven rebounds and nine assists. Hence, James would hope to have a better outing this time and win his first game of the season.
