Jokic came to the NBA as the 41st overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets. Jokic said, “The speed is there. We are the same athletically… I don’t know. Can he jump as high as me? “…guys, I am joking.” The funny dig at James’ height was quite heartwarming from Nikola Jokic, who understands how big a star James is.

Last season, The Nuggets center averaged a career-best 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game in 74 appearances. Meanwhile, James scored an average of 30.3 points. 8.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. Considering James’ achievements in the league, Jokic still has a long way to go to reach the same level of eliteness.

Jokic put up 31 points with 13 rebounds and nine assists, while James scored 19 points with seven rebounds and nine assists. Hence, James would hope to have a better outing this time and win his first game of the season.
