NBA Legend and billionaire Michael Jordan shares a lot of views espoused by former U.S. President Barack Obama. Jordan actually received his Presidential Medal of Freedom during Obama’s term. But despite supporting him and his general worldview, Jordan once made fun of his supposed ‘baller’ abilities. And he questioned if the President could use his left hand to play basketball.

Jordan was arguably the biggest icon the NBA has ever seen, and he has always had a platform that can impact millions. And back when His Airness was playing, he was often criticized for not speaking up on political and social issues. But his father had taught him that he should never put himself in a place for which he is not prepared.

Jordan said he knew how to be a basketball player, but he did not want to use his fame to talk about politics. He feared the backlash and the scrutiny of his choices. But as the years went by, the Chicago Bulls legend started changing his thought process. Since then, he has somewhat come out in support of the first African-American President of the country.

Michael Jordan admitted that he would laugh if Obama said he can play basketball
Jordan’s father had taught him that politics was something not to be messed with and was one of the most trickiest fields out there. But at the same time, he did not want to be perceived as sitting on the sidelines. Therefore, with extreme caution, he came out in support of Barack Obama.

However, Jordan still made fun of Obama for his supposed basketball prowess. The five-time NBA champion was asked what he has to say about Obama thinking of himself as a baller. He said, ” I know that. A baller can be playing at East Bank Club in the afternoon. You know, you have a passion for it, but can you use your left hand? Maybe not. That’s the thing.”
