The whole nation was left horrified by yet another mass shooting scenario on Monday evening. As per reports, a 43-year-old gunman opened fire on two campus locations at Michigan State University killing three people and leaving five others seriously injured. After hours of manhunt and shelter-in-place orders, the suspect was eventually found dead with self-inflicted gunshot wounds, as per the police. While the reason behind the shooting is yet to be revealed, Los Angeles Lakers Magic Johnson recently expressed his grief as he joined millions who mourn the loss of lives after the terrible incident.

The MSU shooting incident occurred days before the fifth anniversary of the Florida mass shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Moreover, the incident was reported by Gun Violence Archive to be the 67th mass shooting scenario this year that has left four or more people wounded or dead. Recently, Magic Johnson expressed his disbelief about the news while offering his prayers to the families of the victims.

NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson wrote in his recent tweet, “Cookie & I are devastated to hear about the news of a shooting on Michigan State’s campus. We are praying for the victims, their families, students, faculty, employees & administration.”

The five-time NBA champ shared that the latest news about the mass shooting incident in Michigan left him and his wife Cookie Johnson shocked. Moreover, Magic also offered his condolences to the victims, their families, and all the people at the University, who were affected by the terrible encounter leading to the loss of three lives.

The first shot was heard at 8:18 PM from Berkey Hall on Monday evening. When the officials responded to the distress in a matter of minutes, several victims of the shooting were found at the scene, among whom two people had already lost their lives.
