In the early minutes of the fourth quarter, the Dubs had a lead. But they committed a lot of turnovers, which ultimately turned the tide. However, Warriors analyst Anthony Slater tweeted a huge mistake by the shot clock operators during the fourth quarter, which apparently added 20 more seconds to the game! Slater tweeted:
“Rewatching 4Q of Warriors/Magic. This game had an extra 20 seconds added to it. Clock stayed at 8:23 for an entire possession. Official game log has Fournier’s 3 and Wiggins’ miss both happening at 8:23. They were 18 seconds apart.”

As Slater pointed out, the shot block froze after a three-point shot by the Magic. It remained frozen until the next play by Orlando, which was 18 seconds apart. This kind of mistake is unimaginable at the biggest basketball league in the world.
Many fans are asking for the league to re-conduct this game as it is basically unfair for Golden State. While it’s highly unlikely that the league will take such action, but the team should be compensated in some way.
