The 2023 NBA postseason is just a gift that keeps on giving. Throughout the games in the first round, no one expected so many surprises. From the Miami Heat eliminating the Milwaukee Bucks to the Sacramento Kings giving the Golden State Warriors a run for their money, the fans have seen it all. However, there isn’t a single day that the NBA has existed without drama by its side. Hence, when Charles Barkley predicted the Warriors’ fate for Game 5, he got a shock, like he usually does.

Charles Barkley and the crew of Inside the NBA have a tradition of picking out the winners for the upcoming games. Although Barkley doesn’t have the best track record in predicting the outcome, he still confidently mentioned his choices, only to be trolled by the fans.

The Sacramento Kings had a breakout season in 2022-23. The team qualified for the playoffs for the first time in 16 years, with a 48-win season, while their Head Coach Mike Brown became the first-ever unanimous NBA Coach of the Year. Additionally, they went on to win their first two games against the Warriors, stunning the defending champions.

However, the Dubs weren’t down for long. Therefore, their games 2 and 3 fight against the Kings to level the series 2-2 wasn’t surprising. Hence, many in the NBA community finally believed that the Warriors could run away with the series, except the Philadelphia 76ers legend, Charles Barkley.

Fans react to the Chuckster’s failed prediction

Everyone has been aware of how the Chuckster hasn’t really been a fan of the Warriors for a very long time. Hence, the fans were happy rather than angry at him, as they believed the 76ers legend was their good luck charm in the playoffs. Here are some of the reactions of the fans.

The fans recalled all the times that the 76ers legend had made blatantly wrong predictions ahead of the games. Additionally, they pointed out his dislike for the Warriors since the last decade.
