The Chicago Bulls dynasty is one of the best in the NBA. Led by Michael Jordan, they dominated the NBA for an entire decade. Jordan’s most famous counterpart was Scottie Pippen. The duo won six championships in eight years, which included two three peats. However, years after both of them bid adieu to the game, problems have come to surface. Notably, Scottie has not been kind to MJ in recent times.

After retirement, both superstars became extremely active with their own works. While Jordan released the most famous sports documentary with Last Dance, Pippen has his own things as well. The six time NBA champion put his book, ‘Unguarded’ and also has his own bourbon released. During the promotion of his works, Pippen went on a tear over former NBA legends such as Charles Barkley and his teammate, Michael Jordan.

While most of the things he said didn’t sit well with the audience, his recent comments may hurt Jordan. While the ‘Last Dance’ looked phenomenal to the viewers, the inside story is something different altogether.

Michael Jordan the only one that got paid?

The ‘Last Dance’ covered the last season of the Chicago Bulls dynasty as a team. It covered all the inside talks and took the perspective of every team player at the time. Being such an anticipated documentary, it exploded as soon as it came out. However, soon after Pippen did not seem happy as he felt Michael put out the documentary to glorify himself rather than make it about the Bulls.

He even said that Jordan put out the documentary to counter LeBron James’ growth in popularity. However, these comments did not get him any support because people thought he was being salty. However, his recent comments may not make MJ look good in the public eye. While cameras covered the whole team, according to Pippen, the only who received money for ‘Last Dance’ was Michael Jordan.

He said: “To make things worse, Michael received $10 million for his role in the doc while my teammates and I didn’t earn a dime, another reminder of the pecking order from the old days. For an entire season, we allowed cameras into the sanctity of our locker rooms, our practices, our hotels, our huddles…our lives.”

If this is correct, then this is not right on Jordan’s part. While the documentary did cover him for the most part. His teammates were a big part of the whole documentary. Without them, he wouldn’t have had a documentary to present in the first place. Hence, not giving them any compensation seems wrong on his part.
